Alex Printz, Founder

Hello, my name is Alex Printz— I am an animator and graphic designer living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am founder of Hoot, my own graphic and animation studio.

I believe in broad creative knowledge and specific answers to obstacles in my work. I find I am always asking myself ‘What is the best fit solution to get the desired result?’ Animation and graphics are simultaneously creative and technical, restrictive and liberating, and this paradox tantalizes and drives me in my everyday work.

Part of the reason I created Hoot as my own brand and instead of a standalone portfolio was to help inspire integrity and dignity in people and the work they create. I believe it is important to take pride and care in everything you do, and to be candid to the purpose and message you are sending.
